I just upgraded to Woocommerce Product Notes Pro.
    How does it get activated?
I have selected Automatic Updates, restarted and nothing.
    Thank you.

    Hi Jeff,

First you need to install the Pro version from zip. You can download zip from your account page, or from the link in your “Your WPFactory order is now complete” email. After that, you can install this zip from your backend, via “Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin”.

After that, you can optionally enable automatic plugin updates for the Pro version, by installing the free WPFactory Helper plugin. Alternatively, you can always download the latest plugin release manually from your account page.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Installed, but not working.  Where will I see the notes? Will I be able to see them in Variations?

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, no – currently notes are available for the main (i.e. variable) product only, and not for its variations. As for the variable (or, for example, simple) product – you can set the notes in the meta box on admin product edit page, like in this screenshot.

    Hi Jeff,

We’ve just released a new plugin version (v2.5.0) – now it’s possible to set product notes per variation.

After the update, you need to enable the new “Note per variation” checkbox option (in “WooCommerce > Settings > Product Notes > Private/Public notes > General Options”).

Also, you can optionally show variation product notes on frontend, in each variation’s description – to do that you need to enable the new “Variation description” checkbox option (in “WooCommerce > Settings > Product Notes > Private/Public notes > Frontend Options”).

Please give it a try and let me know what you think.
