Fixing message customization issues (Pro) #
When a customized message in Popups for WooCommerce: Add to Cart, Checkout & More Pro does not change, check that Customize Messages is enabled in the Messages section, that Original HTML Content matches the real message (use the Contains method for partial text), and that both shortcode options are enabled if your content uses shortcodes.
- Customize Messages is on: the master toggle in the Messages section must be enabled.
- Original HTML Content matches: it must match the real message. Use the Contains comparison method to match part of the text, or Equality only when you have the full HTML.
- The message reaches the notice system: if the string never changes even with Contains, the message may not be created with WooCommerce’s notice functions. As a last resort, enable Customize Translated Text, which is text-only and does not support HTML.
- Shortcodes not rendering: confirm Shortcodes (modified content) and Allow Shortcodes (original content) are enabled. Verify the shortcode name and its
filterattribute against the Shortcodes guide. - Custom HTML errors: check your Modified HTML Content for unclosed tags. The plugin sanitizes content with the WordPress post rules, so disallowed tags are stripped.
