If a custom or third-party gateway is not filtered correctly by Payment Methods by Product & Country for WooCommerce, confirm it is enabled in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments and pick it from the plugin’s list. If the gateway adds itself later, change Add filter in the General tab to On “wp_loaded” action, then save and test.
Common symptoms #
- A custom or wallet gateway still shows for products where you excluded it.
- A custom gateway never appears, even for products where you included it.
- Behavior is inconsistent when several gateway plugins are active together.
Cause #
The plugin filters whatever gateways WooCommerce reports through the standard woocommerce_available_payment_gateways list. Gateways that add or remove themselves later, or register under an ID different from what you expect, may not line up with your Include/Exclude selections.
Solution #
- Confirm the gateway is genuinely enabled and listed in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments.
- Set your rule against that exact gateway as it appears in the plugin’s section screens (the plugin lists every gateway WooCommerce reports, so pick it from the list rather than guessing an ID).
- Save, clear caches, and test checkout with different products.
- Isolate conflicts: test with only WooCommerce, the gateway plugin and this plugin active.
- If a gateway adds itself after this plugin runs, try changing Add filter (General tab) to On “wp_loaded” action so the filter registers later.
- If it still will not filter, contact the gateway’s developer for compatibility, or reach WPFactory support with the gateway name and your settings.
Prerequisites #
- The gateway is active and visible in WooCommerce.
- Both this plugin and the gateway plugin are up to date.
