What the free version does, and what Pro adds #
The free Maximum Products per User for WooCommerce already covers most stores: it limits by quantity, orders, price, weight or volume, supports user roles, date ranges, guest handling, custom messages, a My Account tab and sales-data tools. Pro adds targeting (per product, per category, per tag), advanced formulas, extra guest controls and the ability to allow orders above the limit. The table below reflects the actual code, not the marketing page.

Which should you choose? #
If you need a single blanket rule or per-role limits with flexible counting and messaging, the free version is enough. If you need to cap specific products, categories or tags, write formula-based rules, or let some customers exceed the limit, upgrade to Pro.
