If Free Shipping Bar: Amount Left for Free Shipping for WooCommerce uses one amount while your zones need different free shipping minimums, set each zone’s WooCommerce Free shipping minimum, or add per-zone amounts free under WPFactory > Left for Free Shipping > Manual min amount. Only per shipping method and per shipping class amounts need Pro.
Symptoms #
- The bar shows the same amount left for every customer, even though your zones use different free shipping minimums.
- Customers in one zone see the minimum of another zone.
- You use a non-standard free shipping method (for example a table rate rule) and want a different threshold per region, role, currency or method.
Why it happens #
Amount Left for Free Shipping gets the minimum in one of two ways:
- Automatically: it reads the Minimum order amount of the WooCommerce Free shipping method that matches the customer’s cart and address. Zones with different Free shipping minimums therefore already get different amounts, with no extra setup.
- Manually: if Manual min amount > Amount is set to a value other than 0, that single value replaces the automatic one for everybody, unless you add extra amounts per zone, role or currency.
So a single global amount usually means a manual Amount is set with no per-zone overrides, the customer’s zone is not known yet, or your free shipping comes from a non-standard method the plugin cannot read.
Fix 1: Let each zone’s Free shipping method set the amount (free) #
- In WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping, open each zone, edit its Free shipping method, set Free shipping requires to an option that includes a minimum order amount, and enter the zone’s Minimum order amount.
- Go to WPFactory > Left for Free Shipping (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Amount Left for Free Shipping), open Manual min amount and set Amount to
0, with Empty or Zero (0) left on Ignore (default). The plugin then uses the automatic value. - On the General tab, tick Shipping country if guests see the wrong amount before entering an address. It sets the country from your first shipping zone when none is known.
Fix 2: Set manual amounts per zone, role or currency (free) #
Use this when your free shipping is not the standard WooCommerce Free shipping method, or when you want thresholds that differ from it.
- Open the Manual min amount tab and make sure Section is enabled (default).
- Enter a fallback value in Amount.
- Under Extra Options, select values in Shipping zones (and, if needed, User roles or Currencies), then click Save changes.
- A new Extra Options: Amounts section appears with one field per selected value. Enter each zone’s minimum and save again.
Zones, user roles and currencies are free. Customers in zones you did not select get the fallback Amount, or the automatic minimum when Amount is 0.
Fix 3: Amounts per shipping method or shipping class (Pro) #
The Shipping methods and Shipping classes selectors under Extra Options are Pro. When several shipping classes are in the cart, Multiple shipping class priority decides whether the highest (default) or the lowest minimum applies. Full details: Set a Manual Minimum for Free Shipping in WooCommerce.
Special values #
- Empty or Zero (0): Ignore (default) falls back to the automatic minimum; Free shipping shows the free shipping message instead.
- Minus one (-1): Hide (default) hides the amount left text for that zone, role or currency; Disable treats it like zero. If you have never saved the Manual min amount tab, click Save changes there once so the Hide choice takes effect.
Confirm the fix #
Add a product to the cart, then change the shipping address on the cart page’s shipping calculator to a country in each zone. The amount left should change to match each zone’s minimum.
