If stock is not changing the way you expect with Automated Stock Update Triggers for WooCommerce, the most common cause is a section that is off. Both Decrease Stock and Increase Stock are off by default, so go to WPFactory > Stock Triggers, turn on Enable section for the one you need, select your triggers, and save.
Stock is not adjusting at all #
- Is the plugin enabled? Check that Enable plugin (
alg_wc_stock_triggers_plugin_enabled) is on under WPFactory > Stock Triggers (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Stock Triggers). - Is the section enabled? Both Decrease Stock and Increase Stock are off by default. Turn on Enable section for the one you need and save.
- Is the right trigger selected? Confirm the order event you rely on (for example Completed, or Payment complete) is chosen in the Triggers list for that section.
- Does the order actually reach that status? If you selected Processing but your workflow jumps straight to Completed, the trigger never fires. Match the trigger to the statuses your store really uses.
- Turn on Debug. In the Admin sub-section, enable Debug and reproduce the order. The log at WooCommerce > Status > Logs (source
stock-triggers) shows which trigger fired.
Stock changes for some orders but not others #
- Require products / Require product categories: if either is set, every item in the order must match your selection. An order that also contains a non-selected product will be skipped. Clear these fields to remove the restriction, or review how the matching works.
- Increase only restores what was decreased: increase cannot raise stock above the quantity that was previously reduced for that order.
