Variation-Specific Min/Max/Step Settings Not Applied

Variation-specific quantity rules are not applied #

If variation-specific min, max, or step rules in the Min Max Step Quantity Limits Manager for WooCommerce are not applied, confirm you run Pro with the matching Per product toggle enabled. Then edit the product, open Product data > Variations, and enter each variation’s values. Use On variation change in General to reset quantities.

Common symptoms #

  • The variation edit screen has no min, max or step fields.
  • The quantity selector uses global or default values rather than the selected variation’s values.
  • Changing the selected variation does not update the quantity limits.

Fix #

  1. Confirm you are on Pro. Per-product and per-variation rules require Quantity Manager Pro, with the matching “Per product” toggle enabled in the relevant section.
  2. Set the values on each variation. Edit the product, open Product data > Variations, expand a variation and enter its min, max and step values.
  3. Set behavior on variation change. In General > Variable Products Options, use On variation change (wpfmmsq_variation_change) to reset the quantity to the new variation’s min, max or default.
  4. Load all variations if needed. If variation values do not appear with certain quick-view plugins, try enabling Load all variations in the same section (note it can affect performance).
  5. Test with a default theme and only WooCommerce plus Quantity Manager active to rule out template overrides.
