To let customers download PDF invoices from My Account in PDF Invoices & Packing Slips Generator for WooCommerce, go to WPFactory > PDF Invoicing, open the Doc: Invoice section, enable the My account option (off by default), and save. Customers then see a button on each order in My Account > Orders once the document has been created for that order.
Steps #
- Go to WPFactory > PDF Invoicing (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > PDF Invoicing) and open the Doc: Invoice section.
- Enable the My account option (
my_account_orders). It is off by default. - Save changes.
Customers now see an action button on each order in My Account > Orders, labeled with the document title (for example “Invoice”). The button only appears for orders where the document has actually been created.
Note: the button uses the document Title (admin_title) as its label, so rename the document if you want the customer to see something other than “Invoice”. A customer can only open documents that belong to their own orders.
Use cases #
- Reduce “please resend my invoice” support requests by giving customers self-service downloads.
- Combine with an automatic Create trigger so the invoice is ready as soon as the order is placed.
