Import Demo Content

  1. Download demo files zip
  2. Create a page called “Home”
  3. Select the page as “Front Page” template
  4. Access Settings > Reading > Check A static page > Homepage: Choose your “Home” page
  5. Access Tools > Import > WordPress > “Click on Install Now” and then on “Run importer”. Note: If you already have it installed, just access Tools > Import
  6. Upload the XML file: newspaper-magazine-pro.xml
  7. Check “Download and import file attachments”
  8. Install and activate the plugin Customizer Export/Import
  9. Access Appearance > Customize > Export/Import
  10. Select the DAT file: newspaper-magazine-pro.dat and make sure the option “Download and import image files?” is checked

    I am testing out your Newspaper Magazine theme. I assume if I buy it that I can remove the branding? I have a website of content (not WordPress) and my plan is, once I get this all customized the way I want it, I’ll then use the template to hold my actual web content manually. I’ll have it source its content from my MS-SQL database through ASP calls. But I would use your software to help me with the design of it.

    Here’s what I’ve mocked up so far. I figured out how to get the top half to look right. But I can’t get any of the ‘front page widget area top’ widgets to appear. I do have widgets 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in that area. I also can’t get the 6/footer to show. Any suggestions?

    Is there any way I can have a “cover page” for each section? For instance, if my diary has three sections (Economics, Entertainment, culture, etc), I would like to know whether I can create a page with the latest news for each one of them

      Hello,
      When you say images per line, you mean posts per line?

      There is an option on
      Appearance > Theme Options > Theme Category,

      Where you can play with columns. But it only works for category pages
