What the Pro version of Product Tabs adds #
Additional Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce ships a capable free version. The Pro version keeps every free feature and removes the two limits that the free version places on custom tabs. This article explains exactly what upgrading changes, verified against the plugin code, so you know what you are buying.
The two things Pro unlocks #

In the free version the Custom product tabs number field (global) and the Default per product custom product tabs number field are read only and fixed at 1. Pro makes both editable, which is what lets you add more tabs.
What is already free #
These features work fully in the free version and are not what you pay for:
- Standard tab control: rename, reorder (by position number) or remove the Description, Additional information and Reviews tabs.
- Tab positioning: every custom and standard tab has a Position field, free.
- Show or hide a global tab by product (list, IDs or SKUs) and by product category, free.
- Variations tabs: one tab per variation on variable products, free.
- Shortcodes: the product function, product meta and translate shortcodes, free.
Note: Product Tabs does not add tab styling controls (icons, background images, colors), a bulk-edit tab assigner, or WordPress search integration. Those are not part of the plugin in either version. Tab appearance follows your theme, and tab content can be styled with your own HTML or CSS.
