Product-Specific Limits Apply to the Whole Store

Per-product limits seem to apply to every product #

If a per-product limit in Maximum Products per User for WooCommerce applies to every product or has no effect, you are on the free version or the Pro per-product options are off. With Pro active, go to WPFactory > Max Products per User > Limits, enable Per product, then set Limit per user on the product.

Symptoms #

  • A limit applies to all products instead of the one you targeted.
  • The per-product Limit per user field is missing, or setting it changes nothing.

Cause #

Per-product and per-category/tag limits are Pro features. The free version applies limits at the store-wide (All Products) level only. If you only see the All Products limit, you are on the free version or the Pro per-product options are not enabled.

Fix #

  1. Confirm you have the Pro version active under Plugins.
  2. Go to WPFactory > Max Products per User (also reachable at WooCommerce > Settings > Maximum Products per User) and open the Limits section.
  3. Enable Per product (or Per product category / Per product tag).
  4. Edit the product (or term) and set its Limit per user, then save. A per-product value of 0 falls back to the All Products limit.
  5. Test with a non-admin account: add the product to the cart and confirm the limit is enforced. Clear any page or object cache if results look stale.

Tip: to limit many products at once, group them in a category or tag and set the limit on that term rather than editing each product.
